Сповнилося 200 років від народження Ріхарда Вагнера

200 років тому, 22 травня 1813 року, народився Ріхард Вагнер – одна з найсуперечливіших постатей у європейській музиці останніх двох століть.

Довкола композитора, який народився у Лейпцигу і помер у Венеції, досі існує багато суперечок. Його люблять і засуджують. Люблять за музику, засуджують за погляди.

Свої опери Вагнер називав «музичним драмами». Виконання його творів вимагає великої майстерності, але саме опери Вагнера свого часу принесли славу видатній українці Соломії Крушельницькій, яка здобула титул «Вагнерівська примадонна» ХХ століття. В одному з листів молода тоді ще співачка писала: «Співаючи опери Вагнера без повного образовання музики і голосу, можна собі дати хрестик на дорогу, бо довше не потягнеш, як два роки. Таким ходом не один співак карк скрутив».

Музику Ріхарда Вагнера можна чути у багатьох сучасних фільмах, вона звучить зі світових оперних сцен.

2013 рік ЮНЕСКО проголосила роком Ріхарда Вагнера.
